Each certification package is assembled from division modules — self-contained blocks of technical specifications, inspection findings, data visualizations, and compliance criteria. The SOW determines which modules appear. Add-on modules attach beneath their parent division. The package wrapper (project info, professional certification, signature block) is constant.
| Add-On | Code | Triggered By |
|---|---|---|
| Backfill | ADD-BKFL | Push Pier, Helical, Wall Anchor, Channel Anchor |
| Slab Patch/Repair | ADD-SLAB | Slab Pier, Basement WM (w/ gutter) |
| WallSeal | ADD-WSEAL | Basement WM (w/ gutter/drain tile) |
The package always has a fixed wrapper. Division modules slot in based on SOW Lines. Each module brings its own tech spec table, findings, data viz, and compliance criteria.

Each card shows PSI resistance building tube-by-tube. The sparkline traces the pressure curve to refusal.
Helical piles use torque readings instead of PSI. The sparkline traces torque (ft-lbs) at depth intervals. Final torque correlates to capacity via the manufacturer's torque factor.

Each division module defines required and recommended photo categories. The photo sheet assembles dynamically based on which divisions are in scope. General site documentation (overview, backfill, final condition) is always included.
| Division | Required Shots | Min | Recommended |
|---|---|---|---|
| GEN | Site overview · Final condition · Driving log field sheet · Grade restoration | 4 | Multiple elevations · Before/after pairs |
| UND | Per-pier bracket connection · Manufacturer label · Hydraulic gauge at final PSI · Tube alignment | 3/pier | Excavation pre-install · Extension sleeve detail |
| ANC | Interior plate per anchor · Rod alignment · Earth plate (if accessible) · Wall overview | 2/anchor | Tightening tool on rod · Crack documentation |
| BRC | Per-strap installed view · Adhesion detail · Wall crack before strap | 2/strap | Epoxy mix documentation · Full wall view |
| SUP | Column bearing (top & bottom) · Footer pour/precast · Beam connection | 2/col | Joist sister detail · Sill plate connection |
| FND | Rebar placement · Form work · Pour documentation · Cured concrete | 4/comp | Compaction testing · Waterproofing membrane |
| WTR | Drain tile in trench · Sump basin · Pump installed · Discharge exit | 4 | WallSeal adhesion · Slab patch finish |
| ENC | Barrier floor coverage · Wall attachment · Seam tape · Dehumidifier installed · Vent seal | 5 | Column wraps · Condensate line routing |
| RTW | Footing rebar · Wall forms · Backfill drainage · Waterproofing · Railing | 5 | Soil bearing test · Compaction at lifts |
When multiple divisions are in scope, each photo cell carries a division color tag so inspectors and reviewers can quickly identify which system a photo documents.
The Driving Log is a companion document that only generates when the UND division is in scope. It provides the raw per-tube/per-interval installation data that backs the sparkline visualizations in the field report. The format adapts based on the UND product type.

Helical piles record torque (ft-lbs) at depth intervals rather than PSI per tube. Column headers change from T1–T9 to depth intervals, and the final reading column shows Final Torque instead of Final PSI.

This is the simplest cert composition — a single underpinning product plus its required add-on. The report includes the UND module (sparkline pier cards, aggregate chart, site plan) and the ADD-BKFL sub-module (backfill verification table).
→ Full pier cards with sparklines, aggregate chart, and site plan as shown in the UND module tab.
→ Compact backfill table attaches below the UND module.

This composition shows how two primary division modules stack vertically — the ANC module (with its anchor grid cards and wall elevation diagram) followed by the BRC module (with strap layout cards). The ADD sub-module attaches at the bottom. Each maintains its own visual language while sharing the Tufte framework.

Crawlspace projects demonstrate three-division stacking. The SUP module handles structural support (with the most data density), WTR handles drainage, and ENC handles vapor control. The modules flow naturally because each addresses a distinct system within the same physical space.

This is the torque variant of the UND module. Sparkline cards show ft-lb buildup at depth intervals instead of PSI per tube. The driving log auto-generates with torque columns.
+ 3 more helical pile cards (HP4–HP6) in full report
The FND module uses a component checklist approach — no per-unit cards, but a detailed material and construction verification grid. Each FND product adds rows to the specs table and inspection criteria.
| Component | Code | Detail | Spec |
|---|---|---|---|
| Foundation Wall | FND-WALL | Poured concrete, 8" thick | 36lin ft |
| Continuous Footer | FND-FTR | Reinforced, 20" × 10" | 36lin ft |
| Foundation Backfill | FND-BKFL | Compacted structural fill | 36lin ft |
This composition pairs deep foundation support (helical piles) with new above-grade construction (wall + footer). Common in addition/extension projects where new structure sits on helical-supported footings. The driving log generates for the helical piles; the FND module adds construction verification.

Retaining walls are unique — a single division with many sub-products. The RTW module includes a wall profile cross-section diagram in the margin, showing the relationship between footing, wall, backfill, drainage, waterproofing, and railing. No driving log is generated. Photo requirements are heavy: rebar, form work, pour, curing, membrane, backfill lifts, and final railing.

Slab piers use the same PSI format as push piers — sparkline cards show PSI resistance per tube. The key difference: slab piers are driven through the basement slab and require slab coring and patching.

Complex jobs stack four or more division modules. The compliance matrix expands to include criteria from every active division — each module contributes its relevant checkpoints. This example would produce a 3–4 page field report, plus driving log and extended photo sheet.
